Moon Waffle. I have a gay friend who is considering a move to the TC. Not being gay myself, I wasn't too sure. Also, any thoughts on the overall attitude of the area toward the LGBT community? I've always thought the TC was pretty much a ,live and let live" type of place Some of the population is passively homophobic in that it's not comfortable with the idea, but won't bother someone about it unless that person washes their face in it not likely.

A lot of the population is comfortable enough with homosexuality. There's one gay bar I know of. Odds for living his life his way without being bothered are fairly high, though if he's fairly open about it, he probably shouldn't include election to the Richland City Council in his plans.

Only a very small minority is likely to exhibit open negativity over anything remotely gay. I doubt a couple guys would get bashed for holding hands in public, but it'd draw a lot of attention because it's very rarely seen here. As far as visible gay life, well, I can't see much, so it can't be too visible.
